ACOLYTES

The ministry of the acolytes grows from an ancient tradition in the Church.  They are trained in liturgy and worship so that they can assist with the worship service in processions, at the altar, and with the Eucharist.  They serve God and the church by performing these and related duties to facilitate the beauty and dignity of worship.

Service as acolytes helps young people to understand the meaning of our worship, and strengthens their faith as they carry out this important work
